While San Antonio foodies were forced to say farewell to a list of restaurants quelled by the coronavirus pandemic, they have been introduced to newcomers birthed amid capacity limits, social distancing and other COVID-19-related woes.
Getting a business off the ground is a daunting enough challenge and those who took the pandemic-era plunge are facing a whole new set of issues.
The restaurant owners we spoke to have been forced to rework construction plans to add outdoor dining options, plan for unexpected dips in businesses and count out usual money-makers like visitors and group meetings, all while navigating a drop in diner confidence.
