A mobile home in Handy Township was declared a total loss after a fire Saturday evening.
Fowlerville Fire Chief Bob Feig said his department responded to a reported fire just before 5 p.m. Feb. 27 in Alan s Park Mobile Home, located on North Nicholson Road between Fowlerville and Webberville.
Feig said there were no injuries, but the home was destroyed. The home had one resident, who Feig said has arranged a place to stay.
Firefighters were able to keep the fire contained to the one home. Tthere was no damage to surrounding mobile homes. It was a basic mobile home fire, Feig said. When those things catch on fire, there s a lot of damage just because of how they re built.
