SAN ANGELO Standard-Times News Director Jennifer Guadarrama is bidding her farewell to San Angelo after accepting a position with the IndyStar in Indianapolis, part of the USA TODAY Network.
Guadarrama has served as Standard-Times news director in San Angelo since May 2017. During her tenure, she focused the Standard-Times on digital storytelling, bringing more locally driven articles into the smart phones and mobile devices of those living in the Concho Valley. When Jen first came on board, we honestly still had a lot to learn about how to reach readers online, deputy editor Paul Harris said. I give her a ton of credit for making that transition possible. Not every newsroom has been able to do that successfully, and I don t know where we d be without her help.
