In the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration’s (PAGASA) forecast heat index this week, Aparri, Cagayan’s maximum heat index could reach 42.2 degrees Celsius (°C) by Tuesday, June 1, and 41.6°C by Wednesday, June 2. Dagupan City’s maximum heat index could reach 42.2°C by Tuesday and 41.3°C by Wednesday, while maximum heat index in Sangley Point, Cavite could reach 41.4°C by Monday, May 31 and 41.8°C by Tuesday. PAGASA also said that maximum heat indices from May 31 to June 3, may reach 38.4℃-40.2℃ at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Pasay City and Port Area, Manila; and 38.6℃-40.5℃ at the Science Garden monitoring station in Quezon City

Henry - the UK s only hedgehog detection dog - is welcomed by Wrexham Glyndwr University

THE UK’s only hedgehog detection dog was onto a Wrexham university campus to track down the prickly creatures. Henry, a rescue Springer Spaniel, has a sense of smell 100,000 times more sensitive than a human’s which helps him sniff out signs of the animal. Students and staff joined the search, following Henry as he sniffed his way across campus through the university’s Science Garden, the quad and surrounding greenery. Henry was accompanied by his handler and founder of the Conservation K9 Consultancy, Louise Wilson who trains wildlife detection dogs like Henry to be used for conservation work. Following on from the search, Louise wowed students and staff with a Q and A session where she described the benefits of using wildlife detection dogs,
