A pair of young girls in Colorado set up a lemonade stand to raise money for the grieving family of a fallen officer in their community. Officer Gordon Beesley, a 19-year veteran of the Arvada Police Department, was killed in the line of duty, leaving behind a wife and two kids. And nine-year-old Scarlet Reust wanted to do something to help them.
She got her bestie, 10-year-old Addyson Elliot, involved in the project, too. Together, the girls worked on their stand and over three days, they sold as much lemonade as they could. Their efforts really paid off, in the end, they raised over $18-hundred for the Beesley family.
