Starting this week, about 50 nurses from around the country began working at each of the county s three vaccination clinics. We are thrilled, said Wade Horton, San Luis Obispo County Administrative Officer and Emergency Services Director. We are appreciative to have their expertise to help us protect our community.

The money will go towards the County s vaccine administration sites at Arroyo Grande High School, Cuesta College and the Paso Robles Event Center. It will reimburse county expenses for personal protective equipment, facility costs, and supplies.

Vaccines are currently being administered by appointment only to residents 75 years of age and older and health care workers. Eligible residents can reserve appointments for next week either online or by phone starting at 9 a.m. on Thursday. This is the county s third vaccine clinic. Health officials plan to administer more than 900 first doses daily from Monday through Thursday. The county s other two clinics are located in San Luis Obispo and at the Paso Robles Event Center.
