The NPD has granted Repsol consent for a new start-up of the Yme field in the North Sea. Planned start-up will be in the second half of 2021. Yme is one of the first oil fields on the Norwegian shelf to be redeveloped after the field was shut down in 2001.
3D Oil has announced that ConocoPhillips Australia, as operator of the T/49P joint venture, will shortly commence acquisition of the Sequoia MSS 3D seismic survey using the Shearwater vessel the Geo Coral. The seismic is being acquired as part of the farmout agreement announced in June 2020.
Chesapeake Energy and Vine Energy have entered into a definitive agreement pursuant to which Chesapeake will acquire Vine, an energy company focused on the development of natural gas properties in the over-pressured stacked Haynesville and Mid-Bossier shale plays in Northwest Louisiana. The acquisition is a zero premium transaction valued at approx. $2.2 billion
Halliburton has announced that Sapura Drilling, a subsidiary of Sapura Energy, has awarded it an offshore integrated contract. Sapura, with Halliburton as its technical partner, will execute an Integrated Rig Drilling Completion (i-RDC) contract for a six well offshore well construction program.
