PALM BAY, Fla. – An 11-year-old girl was seriously injured late Saturday after being struck by a vehicle while crossing one of the busiest intersections in Palm Bay, according to News 6 partner Florida Today.
The incident took place about 10:30 p.m. on Palm Bay Road near Hollywood Boulevard as the unidentified girl and several other teens attempted to go across the multi-lane roadway.
“It’s a very dangerous intersection. It was an accident and happened when she and the other group of juveniles were crossing the road. There was a green light,” said Lt. Greg Leonard of the Palm Bay Police Department.

A new multimedia studio has opened up at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando.
Seacrest Studios on the first floor of the hospital is open to all patients, their parents, and healthcare providers.
As WMFE reports, the studio is a place where patients can try out their broadcast skills, and it can give them something positive to focus on while going through treatment.
