Nate Marquardt officially has an opponent for his return to MMA for the first time in nearly four years.
Promotional officials confirmed to MMA Fighting on Friday that the former UFC title challenger will face Michael Cora in a middleweight bout at Titan FC 71. The event takes place Aug. 6 at the InterContinental Hotel in Miami and will air on UFC Fight Pass.
Marquardt, 42, is set to compete for the first time in nearly four years after last appearing in November 2017, dropping a split decision to Cezar Ferreira at UFC Fight Night 120.
Cora, 31, competed on Dana White’s Contender Series in in July 2017, dropping a unanimous decision to Sidney Outlaw. Since then, the 31-year-old has gone 1-3 and will make his fifth promotional appearance.

Police: York man part of double suicide at Gianni Versace s former mansion

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. A Yorker and another man apparently killed themselves, police said, in a suite at the Miami Beach hotel that Gianni Versace turned into his mansion, nearly 24 years to the day before the fashion designer died on the building s front steps.
Their bodies were found by housekeeping on Wednesday, the eve of the anniversary of Versace s slaying by a suspected serial killer. A preliminary investigation ruled it “an apparent double suicide,” Miami Beach spokesman Ernesto Rodriguez said Thursday in an email.
The scene was contained to the suite, and detectives are still investigating the deaths of Adam Rashap, 31, of Randolph, New Jersey, and Alexander Gross, 30, of York, Pennsylvania, police said.

Two men were found dead on Wednesday in the former Miami Beach mansion of the late fashion designer Gianni Versace. A housekeeper from the Ocean Drive estate, now The Villa Casa Casuarina Hotel, called police to report the discovery of the bodies in a guest room yesterday afternoon.
“This afternoon, at 1:21 p.m., MBPD responded to 1116 Ocean Drive after receiving a call from housekeeping advising of two deceased males,” the Miami Beach Police Department announced via Facebook. “Police and Fire Rescue responded and located two deceased males inside of a hotel room.”

Two men found dead in Versace mansion before anniversary of famous South Beach homicide
MIAMI Two men were found dead inside a room on South Beach Wednesday on the eve of the anniversary of the city’s most famous murder – and in the very hotel where that homicide took place.
Housekeepers at Villa Casa Casuarina, or the Versace mansion, discovered the bodies in a suite just before 1:30 p.m., then notified police.
