New exhibit to feature international artist at Leesburg Center for the Arts

LEESBURG Internationally renowned artist and designer Michel Bergeron will be featured in a solo exhibit at the Leesburg Center for the Arts that begins Friday and runs through Jan. 29.  “We are very excited to host the Colors in Black & White exhibition,” LCFA director Maria Stefanovic said. “Michel s pieces are both vibrant and bold combinations of pop and abstract art, influenced by fashion consumerism and societal trend shifts. As we begin our journey into 2021, the Renaissance year, visit the Colors in Black & White exhibition and discover, explore and experiment art in the CFA gallery.” Bergeron has been an artist, graphic designer, teacher and inspirer for more than 40 years and has a passion for fine arts.

Adál Maldonado, an influential Puerto Rican photographer and artistic provocateur who explored the psychological and cultural fallout of the Puerto Rican diaspora in New York, died on Dec. 9 in San Juan. He was 72. His death, in a hospital, was caused by pancreatic cancer, said Francisco Rovira Rullán, his gallerist in San Juan and the manager of his estate. Mr. Maldonado had moved back to Puerto Rico in 2010.
