New photos of suspect vehicle in fatal Hwy. 169 road rage shooting released Youth baseball coach Jay Boughton died from a gunshot wound to the head. Author: Plymouth PD The Plymouth Police Department has released new photos of the suspect vehicle in the fatal shooting of youth baseball coach Jay Boughton. The 56-year-old was driving home with his son around 10 p.m. on July 6, on Highway 169 south of Rockford Road, following the conclusion of a game in Coon Rapids. Police said another motorist heading the same direction opened fire while alongside Boughton s vehicle.  Jay Boughton suffered a gunshot wound to the head, lost control of the vehicle and crashed in a parking lot. He later died at a hospital.
