The conglomerate s effort has been recognised by the United Kingdom s (UK) Natural Capital Partners, a widely known voluntary carbon offset and sustainability solutions provider in the world.
Cycle Pure collaborated with multiple sustainability initiatives to achieve zero carbon. Their Andipatti and Theni Wind Power Projects in Tamil Nadu deliver zero emissions. Even as COVID-19 severely hampered businesses worldwide in 2020, India’s incense stick (agarbatti) industry faced little demand contraction, with exports expected to grow
15 percent by this year-end.
Despite supply chain disruptions, demand for incense sticks did not fall significantly, says Arjun Ranga, President of All India Agarbathi Manufacturers Association (AIAMA).
Ankit Agarwal, Director of incense stick maker Mysore Deep Perfumery House, too says COVID-19 did not impact the industry much.
“The last year can be divided into two parts for the incense stick industry,” he says. “Part 1 starting June, which saw a demand surge and increased sales with the start of the festive season; and part 2, post Diwali, which saw a dip in sales that is usual every year and has nothing to do with COVID.”
