With the established hotline 16502 of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), the public is allowed to call for immediate response on defects along national roads.
“The general public may report any defect or concern along national roads that need immediate rectification and we will do our best to implement palliative measures, if not long-term solutions,” DPWH Secretary Mark Villar said Thursday, February 4.
The state infrastructure chief made the call, citing recent resolved issues along national roads in the National Capital Region with the help of citizens’ feedback.

Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark A. Villar made the call, citing recent resolved issues along national roads in the National Capital Region with the help of citizens’ feedback.
“Through the DPWH Secretary’s Hotline 16502 which is operational 24/7, social media platforms, we can promptly attend to complaints on road damage and other DPWH-related concerns,” said Secretary Villar.
Among the recently resolved grievances in NCR include the reported damaged steel on manhole along Aurora Boulevard in Sta. Cruz, Manila in January 22, 2021 that was addressed following day of January 23, 2021 by the DPWH North Manila District Engineering Office.

The department said they will conduct an audit of the newly opened elevated expressway from Wednesday night until Friday morning “to ensure all systems are in place for the safety of motorists plying the new toll road.”
According to the department, the entire expressway that connects Skyway in Buendia, Makati City all the way to the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) in Balintawak, Quezon City is covered by the road traffic safety inspection.
“We are temporarily closing the Skyway Stage 3 from 10 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13, up to 5 a.m., Jan. 15, to check whether existing measures as well as features and signages are effective in preventing accidents of road users,” Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar said.

GASTONIA, N.C. (WBTV) -A missing 3-year-old who was abducted in Gastonia was found safe Saturday evening in Union County, according to the Union County Sheriff’s Office.
Officers say a 31-year-old man is now in custody.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that crews were in the area of Stallings, on Woodstar Road, in between Aurora Boulevard and Friendship Drive, looking for Kaysie Jay Lipscomb.

“We expect the project to be more than 70 percent completed by end of December and 100 percent by January 2021,” she added.
The GORA Lane project, which will pass through Doña Hemady Avenue, Scout Tobias Street, and Mother Ignacia Avenue is expected to improve the economic activity in the city by connecting commercial areas such as Gilmore, Robinsons Magnolia, Tomas Morato and Timog Ave.
