“Sex & Vanity” by Kevin Kwan
In Kevin Kwan’s newest book, we find main characters Lucie and George on the gorgeous Italian island of Capri where they are to attend the wedding of mutual friends. Misunderstanding and embarrassment abound and the inevitable couple part ways only to find themselves reacquainted and in different circumstances several years later in East Hampton, N.Y. This contemporary retelling of E. M. Forster’s “A Room with a View” with cameo appearances from the “Crazy Rich Asians” trilogy will delight fans of that series in this breezy fast-paced read.
