QPR FC Women suffered defeat against Eastbourne Town on Sunday afternoon, as they returned to Heston for the first time since December.
The topsy-turvy friendly clash ended 5-3 to the visitors with Tiffany Skinner, Kasha Petit and Melanie Hall with the goals for the R’s.
This was Rangers’ second game in the spring round-robin fixtures, following the 1-1 draw with Dulwich Hamlet a couple of weeks ago, as preparations for the Capital Women’s Cup final intensify.
The friendly started evenly with both sides looking to attack early on. Milly Cutler went closest for the R’s and young stopper Cara Henderson had to be on hand to deny the visitors.
Tony Harrington QPR signed off the 2020/21 Sky Bet Championship campaign with a fine 3-1 victory over Luton Town thanks to goals from Charlie Austin, Stefan Johansen and Albert Adomah.
Austin poked the ball home for the opener for his eighth strike of the season while Johansen restored Rangers’ lead with a fine run and finish mid-way through the second half, with Albert Adomah capping off the perfect afternoon in West London with a late strike.
Heading into this one R’s gaffer Mark Warburton chose to go with the same starting XI which sealed their third back-to-back away victory at Stoke City last weekend.

QPR FC Women booked their place in the final of this years Capital Women’s Cup courtesy of a 2-1 victory over Dulwich Hamlet on Sunday afternoon.
Strikes from Jenny Moore and Demi Edwards was enough to secure the victory for Steve Quashie’s side as they now can look ahead to a cup final.
In a tense clash, both sides struggled to get their foot on the ball in the early exchanges. But it was the hosts who were first to have an effort on goal, with R’s defender Ellie Searle having to be alert to hack the ball away from danger.
