This year’s festival welcomes many of the traditional events and activities, including the fireworks display on July 30 and the parade on July 31. “Everyone is thrilled to death. I am receiving messages daily,” said Laurel Lee Roethel, festival co-organizer. To date, three professional music groups will perform - The Downbeats Percussion from Buffalo, Prime Time Brass from Rochester, and the return of the Hit Men, also from Rochester. “This year’s event will be slightly different but will definitely be a welcome sight,” said Chris Cole, Seaway Festival organizer in a website post. “Other musical groups are actively being sought.
