Go On a Poutine Bender with the Museum of Work and Culture’s Competition
The museum is hosting the Poutine Indulgence and Competition with poutine tastings from seven restaurants and mobile vendors.

We all love french fries, and what could possibly make fries even better? Smothering them in savory gravy and cheese curds, that’s what. It’s time for the the Museum of Work and Culture’s annual
Salute to Spring festivities, during which the museum celebrates French culture and language for the month of March. This year’s events include everything from a wine and cheese tasting, Quebecois film screening and a virtual walking tour to the hotly anticipated return of the fifth Poutine Indulgence and Competition.

WOONSOCKET, R.I. – The Museum of Work & Culture will offer a series bi-weekly virtual walking tours beginning Wednesday, February 10 at 7pm.
Each tour will feature a different district, with Feb. 10 highlighting the historic homes of the North End, beginning with the area s use as farmland, before making way to homes of wealthy industrialists and eventually a showcase of the work of famed Woonsocket architect, Walter Fontaine.
Wednesday, February 24th’s tour will explore the history of Downtown Woonsocket and the homes, businesses, and municipal buildings that helped make the city a bustling hub in Rhode Island in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
