2-year-old killed in St. Paul, Minnesota shooting By FOX 9 Staff St. Paul, Minn. (FOX 9) - Investigators are working to determine the circumstances that led to a child being shot and killed Wednesday afternoon in St. Paul. Police say the initial 911 call came in at 1:12 p.m. for the report of a 2-year-old boy with a head injury on the 800 block of Rice Street. However, when medics arrived at the apartment, they found the boy had actually been shot. Medics called the police while attempting to revive the boy, but the child was ultimately pronounced dead. Right now, investigators say the circumstances that led up to the shooting are unclear. Police say three minors who were in the apartment have been brought in for questioning.

At the scene, officers found 56-year-old Todd Gerleman of South St. Paul with an apparent gunshot wound inside a vehicle. Authorities are still working to determine where exactly the shooting happened.

St. Paul police investigating 2 shootings on Sunday night Two people were injured in separate shootings and are expected to survive. Author: Police are investigating two shootings in St. Paul Sunday night, one that happened near the State Capitol and another near Prosperity Heights.  According to St. Paul police, an officer on patrol outside of Regions Hospital saw a van come squealing into the parking lot at a high rate of speed around 10:18 p.m.  There were several people in the van, including a 25-year-old man who was suffering from a couple gunshot wounds to his left leg. He told police the shooting happened near Rice Street and Sherburne Avenue.
