Survey seeks attitudes towards COVID-19 jab
Ararat Rural City Council is seeking feedback from residents on their willingness to get the COVID-19 jab.
To better understand the behaviours, attitudes and knowledge surrounding the COVID-19 Vaccination Program, Council is surveying members of our community through the Engage Ararat platform.
Ararat Rural City CEO Dr Tim Harrison emphasised that COVID-19 waves are inevitable until we get vaccinated.
“In these unusual times, a vaccine is the best defence to prevent the spread of the virus,” said Dr Harrison.
“We want to better understand how community members feel about getting vaccinated, especially those who are undecided.

Statement from Ararat Rural City Council CEO Dr Tim Harrison Victorian health authorities have announced a seven-day lockdown for Victoria, this includes Ararat Rural City Council. New restrictions come into force at 11:59pm tonight (27 May).

The past 18 months has not been an easy period for any of us. It’s been especially tough for businesses, the elderly and those that are isolated and socially vulnerable.
Just when it seemed like we were returning to our normal way of life, we find ourselves again in lockdown. We’ve shown before that we need to be vigilant about this deadly virus, and remember, that despite this challenge we are always stronger together.
