SHARE The US State Department called on Yemen s Iran-backed Houthi rebels to stop attacking civilians in the country and in neighbouring Saudi Arabia following another strike at the kingdom on Saturday.
Saudi Arabia intercepted an airborne attack on Jeddah on Saturday morning, the Saudi Defence Ministry said.
The King Abdulaziz Airport in Jeddah was unaffected
and flights continued normally, the state Saudi Press Agency reported. Saudi Arabia announced a peace initiative in March to help end the civil war in Yemen. However, the Houthi rebels have intensified attacks with explosive laden-drones and ballistic missiles on Saudi civilian targets, including airports and oil infrastructure.
Western media want Yemen to fall to Iran’ Shia militants

The international conspirators assume we are kids. Being a party in the conspiracy, western media and research institutions, present Marib these days as a city doomed to fall to Houthis if the Saudi warplanes stop backing the army there.
These wicked institutions hint that Marib, the government’s last northern stronghold, is too vulnerable now that it is more viable for Saudi Arabia to abandon it and let it face coup d’grace at the hands of Houthis.
While it is true that Marib’s fate hinges to a big extent on Saudi aerial backing, let’s not forget that this vulnerability and weakness is the result of an international conspiracy in which these western media outlets played the propaganda role –in favour of the Shia extremists.

Hundreds of Yemeni activists are campaigning on social media for backing army forces on battlefronts west of Yemen’s Marib governorate, where Iran-backed Houthi militias have been fighting pro-government forces fiercely for four months in a row.
In their social media posts, both civilians and politicians urged more reinforcement to army forces in Marib, arguing that the battle there is vital to defeating the Iranian project in Yemen.
They also called for a swift victory, deploying additional defense brigades to Marib and driving Houthi militias out of positions they hold in the governorate.

Abdullah Khaled, a journalist, said, “It is overdue that President Hadi and other state officials speak up against the obvious pressures that ban the government from purchasing arms even as the government risks losing the remaining strongholds in the country.”
In a political debate with his friends in a night socializing session this Ramadan, Abdullah was gnashed his teeth every time he mentioned Hadi, the Arab Coalition or the international community. “Why is this undeclared international red line against the government’s access to armament, while Iran’s Shia religious terrorists can? There is an international determination to not allow any legitimate government to restore power or even survive in Yemen.”

Bahrain condemned in strongest terms yesterday the terrorist Houthi attack using a barrage of ballistic missiles and bomb-laden drones at a Saudi University near the border. The attack, using five ballistic missiles and four explosive-laden drones, were intercepted by the Arab Coalition. The coalition confirmed that they thwarted the overnight attacks, and the interception scattered debris on the campus, causing a small fire. There are no casualties and no immediate reports of injuries.
“Attempts by the hostile Houthi militia are systematic and deliberate to target civilians,” the coalition said in a statement.
