Xiaomi is taking its own sweet time with the Redmi K40 series this year and based on the rumors so far, it already seems the phones will be a massive upgrade from the K30 series. A recent tip from the Chinese social media suggests Redmi is going back to the flagship roots for the K series this year and will have two models using flagship Qualcomm chips! According to Digital Chat Station, the Redmi K40 series will be launching this month as three models in China and India. Lu Weibing continues to hype the Redmi K40 series too, having now claimed that it will have the best flat screen of any smartphone released in 2021.

Digital Chat Station has revealed more details about Xiaomi s upcoming flagship smartphones, having already teased the possibility of the company announcing a Mi 11 Lite 5G. This time, the leaker has mentioned the Redmi K40 series and the Mi 11 Ultra, as we have covered separately, which will succeed Xiaomi s popular Redmi K30 series and the Mi 10 Ultra.

A well-known Chinese leaker has ignited speculation about Xiaomi releasing a new mid-range smartphone with an unreleased Snapdragon 7 series chipset. Possibly the Mi 11 Lite 5G, the device is said to feature a Snapdragon 775G, along with an OLED screen, a 64 MP primary camera and a 5x zoom lens.

The well-known Chinese leaker Digital Chat Station claims that Xiaomi is working on a new mid-range smartphone, and one that is near release. Digital Chat Station did not state what Xiaomi has called the device, although MyFixGuide believes it will be the Mi 11 Lite 5G.
It’s believed that the tech could come to two phones.
We’ve seen Huawei previously offer 50W wireless charging on its Mate 40 series of phones, while Oppo has demonstrated 65W wireless top-up tech too. Now, it looks like Xiaomi will up the ante by offering 67W wireless charging in two upcoming commercial phones.
XDA member kacskrz dug into the MIUI 12.5 Chinese beta and discovered a snippet called “keyguard wireless strong charge 67w.” This snippet was tied to two items called star and mars, and
XDA-Developers says that these are code-names for two upcoming Xiaomi devices.
It’s believed that star and mars could be variants of the same device. Furthermore, the outlet suggests that star will be powered by the Snapdragon 888 processor, as the code-name has been tied to a mention of the processor along with the Mi 11 (code-named venus). The website even uncovered a logo for 67W charging, seen below.
