Vasai: Bogus railway pass racket busted, two held from Mira Road

The action was taken by the
Vasai GRP in
Palghar district after a 34-year-old man was found traveling in the first-class compartment of a local train with a bogus pass.
The accused were involved in printing and using bogus passes to travel on suburban trains in the Mumbai region.
They would print bogus passes at their stationery shop.
The police have arrested a ward-boy in connection with the crime.

A 10-year-old girl who was with them survived with head injuries
MUMBAI: Three members of a family from Virardied while a 10-year-old girl was severely injured after being knocked down by a goods train between Nalasopara and Vasaistations on Saturday morning. The railway police said they are probing if they were run over or committed suicide.
Residents of Sainath Nagar locality, the deceased persons were identified as Nanda Jangam (55), her son Somnath (35), daughter Pramila Phadtare (31). Pramila s daughter Samiksha was lying along the tracks with head injuries. The incident was reported around 7 am.
The girl has been undergoing treatment at Alliance Hospital, Nalasopara.
