Shreveport City Council approves one-time hazard pay for employees, redirects $250,000 appropriation Deborah Bayliss, Shreveport Times Replay Video UP NEXT The Shreveport City Council changed the funding source to provide a lump sum, one-time payment to City of Shreveport employees, and reallocated funding appropriated for each councilman to the Community Development fund during a special Friday session. According to language in the amendment to Resolution 145, which deals with the one-time payment, the city does not have sufficient funds to authorize a permanent pay increase for generally classified employees for 2021, but funding is available for a one-time pay increase in lieu of the permanent cost of living, merit or other pay raise.
