High octane touring Irish dance troupe Celtica will perform at the Royal Wanganui Opera House on Friday.
Celtica showcases the talents of local performers, with 12 New Zealand dancers joined by three Australians to make up the 15-strong troupe.
The troupe is led by Australian performer and producer Anthony Street, a previous principal dancer for Michael Flatley s Lord of the Dance.
Street had been touring Canada with Celtic Illusion last year when the tour had to be cancelled due to Covid-19 border closures and he had to return to Australia.

The first of the subscription concerts for Chamber Music Wanganui s 2021 series will take place on Wednesday, March 17 at 7.30pm in the Prince Edward Auditorium of Whanganui Collegiate School.
This is a concert with a difference, drawing on a heritage theme and presented in an informal manner with something for all musical tastes.
Hammers & Horsehair duo Douglas Mews (piano) and Robert Ibell (cello) toured extensively around Aotearoa in 2016, 2018 and 2020.
Their concert in Whanganui is the first of a six-stop tour of the North Island in which they are joined by well-known Wellington soprano Rowena Simpson to reimagine the triumphant 1922 New Zealand tour of Blenheim-born Rosina Buckman (soprano) with Adelina Leon (cello) and Percy Kahn (pianist-composer).

As Auckland adjusts to Covid-19 level 3 restrictions which began on Sunday morning, Whanganui, along with the rest of the country, is adapting to a return to level 2.
While scheduled Saturday events in the city were able to go ahead, there were some changes for events on Sunday.
The planned annual celebration of Whanganuitanga at Pākaitore/Moutoa Gardens was scaled back to a smaller gathering so the broadcast on Awa FM radio station could still go ahead with selected speakers.
