A Wellington couple who have been on the front line of keeping COVID-19 at bay in New Zealand are stuck in lockdown in New South Wales for another 10 days after the woman s son died unexpectedly in Sydney.
Jarrin Websterâ (NgÄti TÅ«wharetoa, Te Ati Haunui-a-PÄpÄrangi), 26, died after a medical event on July 18 at the home he shared with his partner and their five-year-old daughter.
The cause is not yet known.
After receiving the news, his mother Antoinette Toumouaâ and her partner Dr Michael Haymesâ immediately flew to Sydney.
