COVID Melbourne hotel update
NSW Health has updated its advice for recent visitors to the Holiday Inn at Melbourne Airport, after three coronavirus cases were found there.
Health authorities are investigating suspected coronavirus transmission within the state s hotel quarantine system at the hotel.
NSW Health said anyone who worked or stayed on any floor between January 27 and February 9 is now considered a close contact.
People in that category must get tested immediately and isolate for 14 days regardless of the result.
The elderly and front line medical staff in northern NSW are hoping Queensland may allow access to the first rollout of COVID-19 jabs after it was revealed no vaccination hubs will be placed north of Coffs Harbour. The phase 1A rollout of COVID vaccines later this month will be the Pfizer vaccine which, due to its refrigeration requirements of minus 70 degree Celsius, will be offered out of hospital hubs. NSW Health has announced hubs at major hospitals including Royal Prince Alfred, Westmead, Liverpool, Hornsby, St George, Nepean, John Hunter in Newcastle, Wollongong, Coffs Harbour, Dubbo and Wagga Wagga. Nationals Tweed MP Geoff Provost said he was concerned for medical staff in the north of the state as well as the elderly population as Coffs Harbour was three to four hours away.
At that stage, Cordner was still suffering from headaches after he was concussed in State of Origin I on November 4 and controversially allowed back onto the field.
âWe discussed his retirement at length,â Robinson said. âThere was a lot of stuff written about Boyd and I discussing it during the year, at the end of the season before Origin, but all that was crap.
âBut we had to have that discussion. Weâve known each other long enough. It was really honest from both parties. There were only two options: stop playing or believe in the ability of the body to heal itself. Once the first option of retiring wasnât an option, we started to discuss the second.â
