A 40-year-old permanent resident man, who allegedly provided sexual services, was arrested during a raid by the Anti-Vice Unit and Gambling Suppression of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) at a rented house in Simpang 118, Kampong Kiulap.
Following inspection, police found evidence including cash believed to be used in immoral activities. The suspect was taken to the CID for further investigation along with the evidence.
The RBPF will continue to conduct monitoring and intelligence to eradicate immoral behaviour. The public is advised not to get involved in such activities as its implications are damaging to self-esteem, the values of civilisation and the country.

Personnel from the Bangar Police Station arrested two suspects and seized 137 boxes of fireworks at Kampong Buda-Buda, Temburong District, on Monday.
The Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) said the seizure was carried out when a suspicious vehicle was seen exiting the boat landing area at 8.40pm.
A police patrol team stopped the vehicle. On inspecting it, they found several boxes believed to contain fireworks and cigarettes.
The two suspects, along with the vehicle and contraband items, were brought to the Bangar Police Station for further investigation.
The suspects are both local men, aged 26 and 29. The case is being investigated under the Arms and Explosives Act, Chapter 58.

An elderly man was killed in a two-vehicle crash at Mentiri, said the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF).
Personnel from the Muara Police Station were called at 2.39pm on Monday, to the scene of the collision at Kampong Tanah Jambu.
The 83-year-old victim was transported to the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the second vehicle was also taken to hospital, for injuries sustained in the crash.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
In light of the incident, motorists are advised not to take to the road if feeling unwell or drowsy.

The Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) apprehended a permanent resident woman, 51, at Jalan Maulana, Kuala Belait on April 21.
Belait Police District Headquarters personnel raided the residence and seized several evidence of four digit (4D) gambling.
Evidence included smartphones, betting papers and cash. The confiscated items were brought to Panaga Police Station for investigation under Chapter 28 of the Common Gaming Houses Act.
RBPF thanked informants for the tip-off and reminded the public that information for these illegal acts can be relayed to the authorities through hotline 993.
