A Shreveport man was sentenced to six years in federal prison for firearm charges.
Claiborne Wayne Williams, 51, of Shreveport, was sentenced by United States District Judge Elizabeth E. Foote to six years in prison and three years of supervised release on firearm charges.
On Nov. 13, 2019, Shreveport police executed a search warrant at the Royal Inn in Shreveport, where Williams was present. When officers searched the room, they found a revolver.

Deputies arrested a 35-year-old Victor man following a suspicious condition investigation.
Around 2:30 p.m. on Thursday deputies responded to the Royal Inn in Victor for the report of a suspicious condition.
Investigation revealed that Tyler Kurlas, 35, of Victor entered the room of a person at the Royal Inn illegally and removed property.
He was charged with felony burglary and transported to the Ontario County Jail for processing.
The charges will be answered at a later date.

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - One person was seriously injured in a fire on Wednesday, according to the Savannah Fire Department.
Firefighters extinguished a fire in the 0 block of Royal Inn Court. One person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
