Couple sues HOA, security company after home burglary

HOUSTON A Houston couple claims they lost half a million dollars in jewelry that was stolen from their home due to the negligence of their homeowners association and its contracted security provider.  Swapnil Agarwal and Deepika Agarwal filed a complaint April 18 in Harris County District Court against Universal Protection Service LP and Royal Oaks Residential Community Owners Ass n Inc., alleging negligence.  According to their complaint, the plaintiffs live in the Royal Oaks community in Houston and pay dues that cover security expenses for the neighborhood which adjoins a country club. They allege that the defendants have been negligent in protecting their neighborhood which resulted in their home being burglarized on Aug. 3, 2020, and the loss of $500,000 in jewelry which was taken from their residence.

Michael Jordan s A Lange & Söhne Datograph is a marvel of watchmaking

His “Airness” Michael Jordan looks as great off the court as he once did dunking on his opponents while flying high above it, seemingly defying the laws of gravity. At the beginning of his career, the man who would go on to become the GOAT of the NBA wore preppy staples such as rugby shirts with hip-hop flourishes such as fly gold chains. But it’s his power suits, especially from the mid-1990s onwards, that cemented the man’s stature in the style icon stakes. By that time he was both literally and metaphorically a giant amongst men, but those imposing suits with their drop shoulders and loose, billowing trousers made him seem even larger, god-like even.

Fire department remembers beloved couple killed in Easter crash

FRANKLIN, Tennessee (WSMV) The community is remembering a Franklin couple who died in a car crash on Sunday afternoon. People knew Ed House as a volunteer firefighter with Franklin Fire Department for 20 years. His wife, Charlotte House, worked for the City of Franklin’s finance department. “They were everybody’s parent,” says Fire Chief Glenn Johnson with the Franklin Fire Department. “Just always had a smile on their face, willing to help.” Johnson remembers Ed for being at the Franklin Fire Department. A job their son now holds as the Deputy Chief with Spring Hill Fire Department. “A lot of people had worked with their son, Eddie, and had interacted with Ms. House through her years of working here at the city as well.”
