Valmonte EXECUTIVES of top listed companies attributed their success to the opportunities and funding they were able to unlock at the stock market through an initial public offering (IPO). “I think it is evident from the stories and insights of our resource speakers that had their companies opted to remain private family entities, they may not have been able to fast-track their growth and expansion,” Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) President and Chief Executive Officer Ramon S. Monzon said. In a bid to boost listings, the PSE invited top executives of companies with successful IPO experiences to share their stories in an online briefing called “The Road to IPO.” At least 600 participants tuned into the live webcast.

AC Energy to power Pacific Synergy s Laguna plant

BusinessWorld May 25, 2021 | 12:02 am ACENERGY.COM.PH AYALA-LED AC Energy Corp. said on Monday that it had committed to supply over 28,900 megawatt-hours of renewable energy (RE) to the Laguna-based plant of consumer goods firm Pacific Synergy Food & Beverage Corp. Under the deal, AC Energy will provide 100% RE to support Pacific Synergy’s plant during its peak operating hours for the next two years. The Ayala Corp. unit’s supply will come from its wind, solar and geothermal portfolios, the firm said in a press release. The agreement will help eliminate an estimated 1,500 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent for the duration of the deal, which translates into offsetting the emissions of over 320 cars per year, AC Energy said.
