Convening May 7-9, it will offer 18+ CE/CME credits for participants. Adam Gazzaley, MD, PhD, will deliver the Keynote address on Saturday. His talk, “A New Era of Experiential Medicine,” will cover both digital therapeutics and psychedelics and make the connection between them via the role of experience as medicine for the mind, according to a media release. On Friday, faculty member Jacob Sosnoff, PhD, will present “Utilizing Virtual Reality for Motor Rehabilitation in Multiple Sclerosis.” The course examines the evidence in support of virtual reality in rehabilitation of individuals with multiple sclerosis, per the release.

There is a load of things that are responsible for insomnia, stress, chronic pain, heart failure, or the overuse of certain medications and drugs as alcohol, nicotine, and caffeine. Though it is a relatively easy job to find the cause relating to insomnia its cure is very unorthodox and it depends more on certain lifestyle practices than medicines. Sleep hygiene and certain other lifestyle changes are the first treatment for insomnia. Then certain sleeping pills are given for insomnia related to addiction, injuries, and dementia.  Again the effectiveness and safety of pills are also a concern.

Things Penn State students can do on campus, in State College or via Zoom this week

With two weeks left in the semester, there are still plenty of things for students to do to close out the semester and wind down. Additionally, April is Pride Month at Penn State, and the university is celebrating the month with a variety of events. Tuesday, April 20 7:30 p.m. — Penn State Centre Stage Virtual will present a virtual rendition of Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet.” Director Steve Snyder’s production will stream for all five acts. The play will be available here. Wednesday, April 21 Students in Penn State’s HM430 — a class designed to educate students on food production and service management — will prepare a variety of cinema-inspired dishes in Cafe Laura. The student-run cafe will take reservations for dine-in, but takeout is available for those who want to enjoy the food at their convenience.
