The government has confirmed that it was considering a review of the Skilled Migrant Category visa category but stopped short of making any announcment except for indicating that an announcment will be made soon in near future.
It was announced in a much anticpated immigration-setting reset announcment tonight in Wellington, delivered by Minister Stuart Nash, in absence of Immigration Minister Kris Fafooi who was unwell and could not attend the event. we’ll be reviewing the Skilled Migrant Category; with more to say on that soon, Minister Nash said.
