Minister for Industries and Production Khusro Bakhtiyar has said new auto policy would focus on further growth and development of automotive industry.
Speaking to the representatives of Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association in Islamabad, he said the policy will focus on affordability, quality and indigenization.
The Minister said the government would like to see an increased footprint of Electric Vehicles to improve the environment and reduce oil import bill.

‘Make efforts to make skilled manpower available to industries’
Minister for Industries and Commerce and Information Technology Mekapati Goutham Reddy has said that high-speed Internet facility will be provided in all the government polytechnic and ITI colleges soon with the support of the AP State Fiber Net Limited.
In a review meeting on employment and skill development at the AP State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) office at Tadepalli on Wednesday, Mr. Goutham Reddy instructed the officials to augment other infrastructure in the polytechnic and ITI colleges to facilitate better delivery of subject contents.
He also suggested that virtual classrooms and digital classes be organised in tune with the future requirements.
Minister to open condensed milk plant in Wayanad

Minister for Industries and Commerce E.P. Jayarajan will inaugurate the condensed milk plant of the Milma Wayanad dairy here at 3 p.m. on Friday.
Addressing a press meet here on Thursday, K.M. Vijayakumar, managing director, Malabar Regional Co-operative Milk Producers’ Union (MRCMPU) Ltd. of the Milma, said many a time milk procured from the Wayanad district could not be sold in the region as milk production in the district had increased considerably.
“The issue will be solved once the new milk plant starts its operation,” he said.
