ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan Monday congratulated the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government for becoming the first province in Pakistan to extend universal health coverage to all of its citizens.
“Congratulations to KP govt for making KP first province in (Pakistan) with Universal Health Coverage for all KP-domiciled citizens,” the prime minister said on Twitter.
PTI govt ready to lay foundation stone of new city

PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is ready to lay the foundation stone of a new city between Peshawar and Nowshera.
The state-of-the-art mega city is proposed to be named Gandhar City. Around 82,000 plots of different sizes will be available for the general public. Consultancy for planning and detailed design is in progress and physical work will start from May 31, 2021.
The Peshawar Development Authority board will approve the conceptual design of the new city soon. It is likely that the chief minister will lay the foundation stone of the three-lane approach road next month.

Hindu temple in Karak to be reconstructed, announces CM KP
PESHAWAR (Web Desk) - Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan has announced reconstruction of a Hindu temple in Karak.
In a statement issued in Peshawar on Friday, he directed the concerned authorities to ensure the reconstruction of Hindu temple on early basis.
Mahmood Khan said the government will ensure protection of all the worship places of minorities.
Prime Minister’s Special Representative on Religious Harmony and Middle East Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi says elements involved in making attacks at worship places of minorities and threatening minorities will not be forgiven. In a statement, he said attack on a Hindu temple in Karak is a sad and regrettable. He said that 31 culprits including mastermind involved in the attack at Hindu temple in Karak have been arrested.
