Malaysia s total lockdown, which was slated to end today (28 June), will be extended while COVID-19 cases in the country remain high, Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced on Sunday (27 June).
Noting this in a press statement on the same day, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, Senior Minister of Defense said the nation will remain in Phase One of the lockdown (MCO 3.0) until three key threshold value indicators under the National Recovery Plan (Pelan Pemulihan Negara/PPN) are achieved:
Putrajaya extends eateries hours during lockdown to 10pm, again

The government today announced that it will allow eateries to operate from 6am to 10pm instead of the previous 8am to 8pm during the total lockdown period. After taking into account appeals and views from the operators of eateries, the (Covid-19 technical committee) meeting agreed to change the operation period for selling food to 6am to 10pm effective June 28, Defence Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob said in a statement.
The government had received similar feedback when the second.
