Rev. Comfort Asare, Acting Director of the Department of Social Welfare at the Ministry Of Gender, Children and Social Protection (MOGCSP) has called on Ghanaians to report any officer who demands money in order to offer children or babies to the police or the ministry.
According to her, the Department of Social Welfare does not sell children or babies but instead gives them out for adoption after following due processes. Families are the most institution in the lives of people and therefore we want to tell those who have applied to adopt our vulnerable children that we are grateful. We also want you to know that we do not sell children or babies. Report any officer demanding money from you to the ministry.
