Graphcore calls for UK regulator to block Nvidia s Arm takeover

The acquisition, which was first confirmed on 14 September 2020, had been met with some backlash over fears Nvidia will move Arm s operations out of Cambridge. Nvidia will destroy ARM s business model, Hauser told BBC Radio 4 in September. Secondmind, backed by Tencent and education provider Pearson, has raised nearly $50m in funding 19 January 2021 • 5:05pm A promising Cambridge artificial intelligence start-up backed by China’s Tencent has lost its chief executive and founder of five years. Vishal Chatrath left Secondmind, a machine learning start-up that has raised tens of millions of pounds in venture capital funding, earlier this month.
