ई-कॉमर्स साइट अमेजन (Amazon) ने भारत में अपने पहले मैन्युफैक्चरिंग यूनिट की घोषणा की है। अमेजन मैन्युफैक्चरिंग यूनिट चेन्नई और तमिलनाडु में लगेगी। इन दोनों प्लांट में सबसे पहले अमेजन फायर टीवी स्टिक (Amazon Fire TV Stick) डिवाइस का प्रोडक्शन होगा। इन दोनों यूनिट के लिए कंपनी ने एक अरब डॉलर के निवेश की भी घोषणा की है।

The company said in a blog post that the manufacturing program will be able to produce hundreds of thousands of Fire TV Stick devices every year. The announcement was made after a meeting between Amit Agarwal, SVP and Country Head, Amazon India and Ravi Shankar Prasad, Minister for Communications, Electronics & Information Technology and Law & Justice, Government of India. As per the report, the Amazon streaming devices will be manufactured at Cloud Network Technology, a subsidiary of Foxconn in Chennai later this year. Amazon had launched an updated version of the Fire TV stick along with the Fire TV stick lite. The Fire Stick comes with a lot of enhanced features including full- HD streaming, HDR support and Dolby Atmos, and more. The device starts at Rs 2999 in India.
