The Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife held its 2020 Membership Meeting on March 31 via Zoom, with those in attendance including members, staff, and the board of the directors.
New board members elected were Karen Buck, Ron Clayton and Dave Nichols.
Originally from the Chicago area, Buck has resided at least part time on Captiva since 1997 with her family. A retired medical assistant, lab tech and medical office manager, she grew up in rural Indiana surrounded by wildlife. She has been involved with many fundraisers and is currently serving on the entertainment committee at The Sanctuary Golf Club.

(StatePoint) Pets are beloved members of many families. In the U.S alone, about 85 million families own a pet. According to the American Pet Products Association, many of us also drive with our furry friends, from quick trips to the veterinarianâs office to longer road trip adventures.
A recent national survey by Erie Insurance found that more than half of its respondents plan to take at least one road trip this year and 4% plan on traveling with pets. However, traveling with an animal can be dangerous if appropriate safety measures are not taken.
