GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The NCAA Tournament returns to Gainesville as the sixth-seeded Florida lacrosse team welcomes Mercer, Jacksonville and Vanderbilt to Donald R. Dizney Stadium.
Florida will be back in the friendly confines of The Diz on Friday, taking on the Mercer Bears at 4 p.m. That game will be streamed on ESPN3 and can be heard on FloridaGators.com/watch.
Approximately 45 minutes after the matchup between the Gators and the Bears, Jacksonville will take on Vanderbilt under the lights.
The winner of each of the first round matchups will face off on Sunday at 12 p.m. for a chance to make the NCAA Quarterfinals.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Just over 24 hours after winning the 2021 American Athletic Conference Tournament, the Florida women’s lacrosse team received the sixth overall seed and earned hosting rights in the NCAA Tournament first and second rounds.
No. 6 seed Florida will face Mercer at 4 p.m. on Friday, May 14 at Donald R. Dizney Stadium, followed by a matchup between Jacksonville and Vanderbilt at 6:30 p.m. The winners of each game will face off on Sunday, with opening draw slated for 12 p.m.
UF enters the NCAA Tournament riding a 13-game win streak, going undefeated in conference play. The Gators are 2-1 against the Gainesville field and have gone 5-2 against the overall tournament field in the 2021 campaign.

The UCF Knights battled against the Wichita State Shockers as the two teams split the first two games of their four-game weekend series during Friday’s doubleheader at John Euliano Park.
The Knights quickly found themselves trailing Wichita State in game one after Shockers sophomore second baseman Jack Sigrist tallied up two early scores.

Sigrist reached home plate off an RBI from Shockers senior outfielder Corrigan Bartlett at the top of the first inning. Sigrist, in addition, recorded a solo home-run at the top of the third inning, which left the Knights in an early 2-0 deficit.
