The Village Pantry at Ninth and South streets was torn down and replaced with a pocket park and pumping station. Lafayette Renew received a Merit Award for the project. The award comes from the American Council of Engineering Companies. We were able to address, one, the complicated stormwater issues in downtown . and then repurpose the old Village Pantry site, says Lafayette Renew Superintendent Brad Talley. That site was an eyesore for the community and we were able to make into something that adds value to the community.
