LANDIKOTAL: Skyrocketing prices of edibles have irked the poor as the authorities could not implement the directives of provincial government to give relief to citizens in Ramazan.
The citizens termed sasta bazaars established in Landikotal and Jamrud a joke with the people.
They said a few vendors were brought for an hour to conduct photo sessions in the Sasta bazaars.
This scribe on Sunday visited Jamrud and Landikotal bazaars and talked to visitors and TMA employees. Citizens complained that a van shop used to come and sell rice, ghee and sugar once a week.

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister K Narayana Swamy and Panchayat Raj Minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy on Monday, met the family members of the Kurnool road accident victims and assured all help from the government.
In a tragic accident, 14 of people, including eight women and a child, were killed and four injured in a road mishap in Veldurthi mandal in Kurnool district early on Sunday when they were on their way to Ajmer Dargah for a pilgrimage.
As per the announcement made by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Sunday, cheques of the ex-gratia amount of Rs 2 lakhs were handed over by the Deputy Chief Minister along with Deputy Chief Minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, MLAs Nawaz Basha, Chinthala Ramachandra Reddy and Peddireddy Dwarkanath Reddy to each of the families of the road accident victims, on Monday. Kolar, Feb 2: In an incident reported from Masti village in Malur taluk, Kolar district, a Muslim family belonging to a gram panchayat member has been boycotted from entering the mosque. Amir Jan, father of Fayaz, who has been elected as gram panchayat (GP) member, has complained to deputy commissioner, Satyabhama, that his family has been barred from entering the mosque.
Amir said that angered by the fact that Fayaz had won the GP election, his family has been barred from coming to the mosque. The family of Amir has 50 members, and they have been banned from entering seven mosques in Masti village. This boycott was imposed by Shaukathulla Baig and his children, head of Jamia Masjid, Siraj Baig, and others, Amir said.
