Amir Cup: Al Duhail, Al Rayyan enter semis

 03 Mar 2021 - 9:56 Al Duhail s Michael Olunga vies for the ball against Al Shamal players yesterday. The Peninsula Doha: Qatar’s football giants Al Duhail and Al Rayyan advanced to the semi-finals of Amir Cup after winning their respective quarter-finals yesterday.     Al Duhail blanked Al Shamal 2-0 at the Suhaim bin Hamad Stadium, while Al Rayyan progressed after identical win over Al Kharaitiyat at Abdullah Bin Khalifa Stadium. Kenyan striker Michael Olunga (45+3) and Abdulla Al Ahraq (89) were the scorers for QNB Stars League champions Al Duhail last evening.  Star-studded Al Duhail failed to assert their supremacy over their rivals, more so in the first half where the Al Shamal produced a solid show in defence.
