The only problem was, they had to work on separate sides of the kitchen and prove their communication skills. Griffin cooked up a glazed ham and a gingerbread latte tiramisu with mascarpone cream for a dessert, while Pattison aimed high with a decadent turkey wellington. Biggins conjured up roast duck, roast potatoes and varied vegetables, as Street-Porter attempted to dazzle the judges with her venison and damson Christmas pudding with caramelised carrots.

Janet Street-Porter has been crowned the first of two champions of BBC One s Celebrity MasterChef Christmas Cook-Off.  The broadcaster and journalist, 73, could not believe she won as she said that this is one for the pensioners! on the show which will aired on Monday at 9pm on BBCOne.  She competed against actor Christopher Biggins, Radio 1 DJ Dev Griffin and TV personality Vicky Pattison for the title.   Winner! Janet Street-Porter has been crowned the first of two champions of BBC One s Celebrity MasterChef Christmas Cook-Off in scenes set to air at 9pm, BBC One on Wednesday Judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace returned to the MasterChef kitchen for the Christmas specials, bringing festive cheer to our screens.

Marcus Rashford: Feeding Britain’s Children (BBC1, 7pm) CAMERAS follow the Manchester United and England striker as he tries to better understand the effects of food poverty and how Covid-19 has contributed to the issue. The film comes after Rashford forced the UK Government into not one but two U-turns in his ongoing efforts to ensure no child goes hungry. His campaign last month resulted in the government backtracking to announce free meals for disadvantaged English children over the Christmas holidays, as happens in Scotland. In the summer, he successfully got the UK Government to provide free school meals during the holidays.
