Daisy was born on February 16th in the Dallas metroplex and made her way up to Amarillo only recently. She s still being bottle-fed and has quite a bit of growing to do before she reaches her full size just a tad over 6 feet tall.
When I visited her today, we both were looking at each other eye-to-eye and I m right at 5 8 (that s pretty tall, y all). Let me tell you..those camel eyes can be a little
intense, and one point I was waiting for her to spit!

Keep Amarillo Clean is set to celebrate Earth Day this weekend, with the organization s officials stressing the importance of keeping all areas of Amarillo clean.
According to a flyer from the group, community members will meet up at elementary school parking lots throughout the city at 9 a.m. Saturday, starting the clean-up process around the neighborhood of each respective school.
The goal, according to the flyer, is for individuals to collect one kitchen trash bag full of trash per person, which officials state will make a huge difference in the cleanliness of Amarillo.
For larger items, the landfill will offer free dumping for Amarillo residents. The Keep Amarillo Clean organization is also asking individuals with pick-up trucks to take large items found in alleys, such as mattresses and couches, to the landfill.
