Xander was pouring over the files that Sarah had copied off of Philip Kiriakis’ (Jay Kenneth Johnson) laptop, but he couldn’t find any evidence of embezzlement.
Eventually, Sarah complained about Xander’s laundry all over the room, and Xander realized that Philip wasn’t embezzling money – he was laundering money. After perusing the financial files again, Xander realized that Philip was laundering mob money, and that it must be tied to Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun).
