Vanderburgh County reports vaccinating almost 1,000 against COVID-19, most in their 50s Thomas B. Langhorne, Evansville Courier & Press EVANSVILLE, Ind.   Vanderburgh County reported vaccinating just short of 1,000 residents against COVID-19 Friday, most of them in their 50s. The new numbers come fast on the heels of the state s invitations this week first to people age 55 to 59, and shortly after to anyone 50 and older, to make vaccination appointments. Vanderburgh County also reported adding just 15 new COVID-19 cases Friday and no deaths. Gibson County, however, reported 29 new COVID-19 cases and two deaths.
