HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - The medical marijuana bill is now awaiting Gov. Ivey’s signature after the state Legislature passed it Thursday night. If the bill is made into law it could have a big impact on businesses and people with certain medical conditions.
Bluewater Hemp in Decatur says their focus for the past three years since the CBD program started in Alabama has been producing high-quality medical cannabis. Taylor Marks, Co-owner of Bluewater Hemp, says they want to make the best CBD products for their customers who need them.

MUSKEGON, MI – A comparison of the COVID-19 vaccine “passports” to the treatment of Jews in Nazi Germany and a tearful claim they would discriminate against mothers just trying to buy diapers led an angry Muskegon County commissioner to denounce disrespect toward people who have truly faced prejudice.
The public comments came during a Muskegon County Board of Commissioners human services committee on Tuesday, May 4. The board later voted along party lines to approve a non-binding resolution denouncing the idea of such passports that will be sent to the governor and state lawmakers.

Perhaps as a metaphor for a brighter future, College Democrats and Republicans came out with the sun on Sunday afternoon following days of rain to play a game of âbipartisanâ kickball, along with a few local politicians. Politics and kickball, after all, are both sports with two opposing teams.Â
But in order to promote civil discourse, Sundayâs kickball teams, positioned on the playing fields at TRECS, were composed of both Democrats and Republicans, so that no one ideology could reign victorious.
The game was the brainchild of Amanda Taylor, sophomore and president of College Democrats, who fears that interpersonal discourse is becoming as unfriendly as the most recent round of presidential debates.Â

Even though some local shelters say they have space available, some people staying at parks are choosing not to go.

CHICO, Calif. - As the city of Chico continues tackling its homelessness issues, some local shelters still have space available.
However, even though there are empty beds, there are still people sleeping in local parks and even on sidewalks of Downtown Chico. Action News Now talked to some people who say they feel more comfortable staying outdoors with fewer restrictions.
