61 beggar’s handlers arrested during June

Islamabad: Islamabad Police have accelerated its campaign against professional beggars and their handlers and arrested 61 handlers, 411 professional beggars during ongoing month.
Following orders of IGP Islamabad Qazi Jamil Ur Rehman, under supervision of SSP (Operations) Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanweer, Islamabad Police had launched a massive campaign against professional alm-seekers and their handlers to curb this menace from federal capital.
Police teams under supervision of Additional SP (Islamabad) Farhat Abbass Kazmi, this campaign will continue in Capital until it’s elimination. Additional SP Farhat Abbas Kazmi told that we got the tips through Safe City Cameras and other intelligence sources about presence of network of beggars’ handlers and got the information about their locations and kept them under the watch.

Islamabad: Deputy Inspector General of Police (Operations) Afzaal Ahmed Kausar and Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations) Syed Mustafa Tanveer visited different areas of the capital city to inspect the law and order situation and met with the on-duty officials.
According to the police, Additional SP Farhat Abbas Kazmi, SP (Aiwan-e-Sadr) Sardar Mustafa and ASP Abdul Aleem also accompanied the high-ups during their round to the city. The officials also distributed masks among the personnel. DIG Afzaal Ahmed Kausar also had an ‘Iftar’ dinner with the police officials in Rawat while SSP Syed Mustafa Tanveer had ‘Iftar’ with cops at Faizabad bridge.

RAWALPINDI:
The Rawalpindi Regional Police Officer (RPO) Imran Ahmar visited the security personnel at District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) and Benazir Bhutto Hospital (BBH) injured during the protests.
Rawalpindi Commissioner (RC) Gulzar Hussain Shah, Islamabad Inspector General of Police Qazi Jamilur Rehman, and other officers also accompanied the RPO on Thursday and inquired after the health of the injured personnel.
The officials stated that those who performed their duties fearlessly are the best assets of the force and will not be left alone in this difficult time. The commissioner also instructed the medical staff to provide the best facilities to the personnel.
