Sheikh Hamdan launches ‘Dubai Schools’ project

As part of the vision of Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai has invested in quality education to create a future where scientific curiosity, the quest for knowledge, innovation, a spirit of collaboration and national values drive progress and development, he added.
Dubai: Dubai on Monday announced a new education model called ‘Dubai Schools’ to incorporate global curricula with Emirati, Arab and Muslim values.
The project was launched by Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council. He made the announcement as he chaired a meeting of the Executive Council at the Dubai Police Academy, in the presence of Shaikh Maktoum Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and First Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai.
Public-private partnership
Sheikh Hamdan also attended the signing of an agreement between Dubai Government and Taaleem school group to operate Dubai Schools. The agreement creates the framework for a public-private sector partnership to operate schools under the new initiative. Smart Dubai announces latest updates on progress of Dubai Paperless Strategy
DUBAI, 1st March, 2021 (WAM) Smart Dubai revealed the progress 41 government entities have made in implementing the Dubai Paperless Strategy, where they sought to reduce their paper consumption by half within the first six months of joining the effort, and continue moving forward towards 100 percent digitisation by the end of 2021.
The figures were announced during a virtual session Smart Dubai organised with Abdulla Al Basti, Secretary-General of The Executive Council of Dubai; Younus Al Nasser, Assistant Director-General of Smart Dubai, CEO of the Dubai Data Establishment, and Wesam Lootah, CEO of the Smart Dubai Government Establishment, in attendance, along with Directors-General and officials from government entities that are taking part in implementing the Dubai Paperless Strategy.

Covid vaccine in UAE: Top Dubai officials get Pfizer jabs

The vaccine is administered in two doses.
Two top Dubai officials have got their first doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine.
The jabs were administered as part of the Dubai Health Authority’s (DHA) free vaccination drive against Covid-19. The Government of Dubai Media Office posted photos of the officials receiving the jab on Saturday.
Major-General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director-General of the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) – Dubai; and Khalifa bin Dary, Executive Director of Dubai Ambulance Services Corporation, received their shots.
